Tri-Party Partnership Commitment
The mission of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is science, and our goal is to be the best laboratory in the world in our chosen fields. In order to be able to achieve that goal, we must conduct our research and operations in a responsible, sustainable and safe manner recognizing the stakeholders that we serve.
We have a responsibility to the international scientific community to ensure our work and research is conducted in a manner that is open, transparent and available to those who seek to use our facilities, our results and our discoveries. We will work with our partners and collaborators for mutual success in meeting the Department of Energy's goals and objectives.
We have a responsibility to our employees to treat each of them with respect and recognize them for their role and contribution to our team. Our employees must have a safe work environment and feel empowered to commit to an accident and injury-free workplace. All employees must feel free to make suggestions or raise concerns freely, without fear of retribution or attribution.
We have a responsibility to the American people who make our work possible. We must use our resources efficiently and effectively to meet our desired scientific goals; our programs must be innovative and bold. We should not be afraid to make mistakes, but we need to always learn from them. We must be able to demonstrate to the American people the value of the trust and investment they place in us.
The SLAG Site Office, the SLAG National Accelerator Laboratory, and Stanford University commit to work in full partnership to achieve these objectives. Working collaboratively to solve problems, we will push back the frontiers of the unknown, and together we aspire to be the best laboratory in the Department of Energy, and the most productive scientific laboratory in the world.
